mega bundle listening progress monitoring grades 6-8

Listening Progress Monitoring

For months, I have been quietly creating Listening Progress Monitoring/Practice for grades 6-8. I noticed there were very few options available at an affordable price for schools and teachers, so I created my own. However, it has taken me a long time, as I wanted to be sure I was delivering quality and quantity. Each single product includes 15 questions with audio, divided into 5 content areas: social/instructional language, English language arts, mathematics, social studies, and science. There are four forms for each level- beginnerintermediate, and advanced. Our MEGA bundle includes 180 questions! This means if you have middle school students who remain with your for all of grades 6, 7, and 8, you have plenty of different forms to use to monitor their progress in listening skills. If you do not want to do it this way, you could use these questions to practice for the annual language assessments like WIDA, ELPA21, TELPAS, and NYESLAT. It’s difficult to find questions to help prepare middle schoolers for these academic listening tasks, but I’ve got you covered!

I hope you like the listening progress monitoring products. I have created a mixed level FREE version so you can get an idea of what types of questions are in the products. I have big plans to add more to this product line starting with grades 4-5, then 2-3, K-1, and finally 9-12. In the future, I will add reading, writing, and speaking so you’ll have a way to monitor your ELs progress in all 4 domains.

I hope you and your students get a lot out of this new listening progress monitoring product line. My next blog post will be about teaching academic listening skills. Here’s an advanced tip: podcasts and lyrics!! I will help curate some for you and your students.

Yours in learning.
